JKS Bar Pin Eliminator 9604
JKS Bar Pin Eliminators prevent distortion of the shock absorber bushings by adding lateral compression, or preload. This ensures the bushings maintain their shape and deflect suspension impact forces to the shock absorbers, thus preventing the annoying noises and premature bushing failure common with standard bar pins.
Bar Pin Eliminators utilize a cleverly constructed system of blocks and pins machined from premium grade, zinc plated steel. When installed, the blocks actually squeeze the bushing to create the recommended amount of crush specified by bushing manufacturers, thus providing the ideal environment for proper bushing operation. The smooth, machined surfaces of the Bar Pin Eliminator reduce friction at the bushing surface, unlike the porous and corrosion prone, substandard metals used for most bar pins. And unlike other designs on the market, JKS Bar Bin Eliminators mount to the vehicle in alignment with suspension movement, taking advantage of bushing rotation and reducing stress on the shock absorber and bushings. Note: Installation of Bar Pin Eliminators effectively reduces the static length of shock absorber by 0.40". Product Features Properly preloads shock absorber bushing to manufacturer specifications unlike inferior bar pin Prevents transfer of noise and vibration caused by movement between bushing and bar pin Bushing surfaces machined smooth for reduced friction and maximum longevity Retains original mounting alignment to prevent stress on shock absorber and bushing Provides almost 1/2" additional down travel at shock absorber Zinc plated, premium grade steel components for corrosion resistance Compatible with OE and aftermarket shock absorbers TJ Wrangler, 1997-06 XJ Cherokee, 1984-01 |
